Shipping a barrel from the US to النقل البحري للبرميل من الولايات المتحدة الى Jamaica جامايكا was relatively easy but picking up a barrel in Kingston was a separate matter. ولكن كان من السهل نسبيا التقاط برميل في كينغستون هي مسألة منفصلة. Our barrel was shipped over on an ocean going vessel and dropped off to لدينا برميل تم شحن ما يزيد على المحيط الذهاب هبط من السفينة والي Jamaica جامايكا customs in Kingston harbor per our instructions. كينغستون الجمارك في المرفأ لكل تعليماتنا. We could have picked up in Mobay or even had it delivered direct to our home here in Negril but we chose a road trip to Kingston instead and as usual I am glad we did. ونحن يمكن ان يكون التقطت في mobay او حتى انها قد سلمت مباشرة الى بيتنا هنا في نيغريل ولكن نختار الطريق بدلا من رحلة الى كينغستون وكالعاده يسعدني فعلنا. We had a great trip and the worst part of it was dealing with driving around the Kingston Wharves. كانت لدينا رحلة كبيرة واسوأ وكأن جزءا من التعامل مع القيادة في جميع انحاء كينغستون ارصفة الميناء. It’sa pretty backwards system of one way roads and no signage that kept me spinning in circles quite a bit. It'sa جميلة منظومة واحدة الى الوراء على نحو لا لافتات الطرق والتي ابقت لي الغزل في اوساط لا بأس به. I arrived on the first day with the wife and kids in tow but quickly realized I needed to come back on my own so I took care of the first step in paperwork and returned on my own the next morning. انا وصلت في اليوم الاول مع زوجة واطفال في السحب ولكن سرعان ما أدرك انني بحاجة الى العودة بالاصاله عن نفسي فأنا رعاها الخطوة الاولى في الاعمال الورقيه وبالاصاله عن نفسي عاد صباح اليوم التالي. Things went much smoother at the harbor before 9AM and it is suggested you arrive as early as you can. ذهب الكثير من الامور اكثر سلاسه في المرفأ قبل الساعة التاسعه صباحا ويقترح وصولك في وقت مبكر يمكنك.
The first step in retrieving our barrel was to stop by the local office for Finlays Shipping which was only two blocks away from the harbor but one of the most difficult streets for me to find me. الخطوة الأولى في استخراج برميل وكان لدينا من قبل لوقف المكتب المحلي للfinlays النقل البحري التي كان اثنان فقط لبنات بعيدا عن المرفأ ولكن واحدة من اصعب الشوارع بالنسبة لي ان تجد لي. At Finlays I paid the $2,000 JA for local handling charges and received my Arrival Notice and Bill of Lading documents to be presented to في finlays انا دفعت 2000 دولار لتم العثور على رسوم المناوله المحلية وتلقي الاشعار وصولي الى سند الشحن الى عرض وثائق Jamaica جامايكا Customs agents. وكلاء الجمارك. Finlays filled out all the necessary documents for me and made things quite a bit easier in doing so. Finlays ملء جميع الوثائق اللازمة للتقدم ولي اشياء لا بأس به من الاسهل فى القيام بذلك. I only had to make one simple modification to any of the paper work we received from Finlays in order for Customs to accept it and all the document transfers went pretty smoothly. انا فقط كان علي ان تعديل واحد بسيط في اي من ورقة العمل التي حصلنا عليها من اجل finlays للجمارك لقبوله وجميع عمليات نقل وثيقة من وثائق جميلة ذهب بسلاسه. I bailed out here and came back the next morning with the necessary documents in hand ready to deal with the Jamaican customs process all in one day. انني هنا اطلق سراح بضمان وعاد صباح اليوم التالي مع المستندات اللازمة الى جنب على استعداد للتعامل مع جميع الجامايكي الجمارك عملية في يوم واحد.
I got to the docks at roughly 8:30 am and things we’re still kinda quiet. وصلت الى الاحواض في 8:30 صباحا تقريبا ونحن لا نزال اشياء kinda هادءه. I grabbed a banana porridge and coffee from one of the many vendors in the area and hung out in front trying to catch a photo opportunity. أنا أمسك موزة العصيده والبن من واحدة من العديد من البائعين في المنطقة ، وعلقت الجبهة فى محاولة لالتقاط صورة الفرصة. The entire area is a security zone with no children and no cameras allowed. المنطقة بأكملها هو المنطقة الامنية بدون اولاد ولا يسمح للكاميرات. The first time I pulled up to the gates in the van I had my camera on the seat next to me and they told me I had to take it home. المرة الأولى التي سحبت ما يصل الى بوابات في بلدي فإن كان لي الكاميرا على مقعد بجوار لي وقالوا لي ان كان لي ان اعتبر البيت. No cameras allowed. لا يسمح للكاميرات. They have a special parking lot for individuals picking up imports and the parking lot attendants are the first to verify you have the proper docs before you even park. لها موقف للسيارات الخاصة للقبض على الافراد واردات وموقف للسيارات القابلات الاولى للتحقق من الصحيح لديك مستندات وحتى قبل ان تقوم بارك. Once they let you in they will send you across the street to the clerk in the Customs Manifest Branch where your documents are processed. انها تسمح لك مرة واحدة في انها سترسل لك عبر الشارع الى كاتب في فرع الجمارك واضح حيث يتم تجهيز المستندات الخاصة بك. You have to present identification at this step and all persons receiving imports must now have a Jamaican TRN number as well. لديك لعرض هذه الخطوة في تحديد هوية جميع الاشخاص الذين يتلقون واردات الان يجب ان يكون لها عدد trn الجامايكي ايضا. I paid roughly $2000 JA for this service to the Jamaican government and was sent over to the Warehouse manager who would find my barrel amongst all the others. دفعت 2000 دولار تقريبا مسبقا لهذه الخدمة الى حكومة جامايكا ، وارسلت الى مدير مخازن يجد من بلادي للبرميل فيما بين جميع الاخرين. The warehouse manager actually waited about 30 minutes while a number of us finished the first stages paperwork that morning and then he disappeared into the warehouse for about another 20 minutes before returning with everyones barrel on one flat trailer. مدير المخزن فعلا انتظر نحو 30 دقيقة في حين ان عددا من علينا الانتهاء من الاعمال الورقيه المراحل الأولى من صباح ذلك اليوم وانه اختفى بعد ذلك الى مستودع لحوالى 20 دقيقة اخرى قبل ان تعود مع everyones برميل واحد على مقطوره مسطحة. All the barrels were lined up in front of rows of tables and each of us was told to stand before our barrel as we awaited the customs inspections. وكانت كل برميل اصطف امام الصفوف من الجداول وكل واحد منا وقيل لنا ان اقف امام برميل ونحن في انتظار التفتيش الجمركي.
Persons to whom packages have been sent from overseas الاشخاص الذين تم ارسال مجموعات من وراء البحار1. Take your Arrival Notice, Bill of Lading and identification paper to the Freight Agent who is responsible for receiving and handling your goods. خذ وصول الاشعار ، وسند الشحن الى تحديد ورقة من وكيل الشحن هي المسءوله عن تلقي ومعالجة البضائع الخاصة بك.
2. The Freight Agent will process your papers and collect all fees due to them (not Customs import duties) and advise you when and where (wharf or warehouse) the package(s) will be available for inspection by Customs. وكيل الشحن وسوف نتولى جمع كل الاوراق والرسوم المستحقة لهم (لا رسوم الاستيراد الجمركيه) وتقديم النصح ومتى واين) ورصيف او مستودع (مجموعة (ق) وسوف تكون متاحة للتفتيش من قبل الجمارك.
3. Take your documents (including Customs Form C78X) to the Wharf or خذ الوثائق (بما فيها الجمارك شكل c78x) الى رصيف او
Warehouse at the appropriate time and present same to the clerk in the Customs Manifest Branch. مستودع في الوقت المناسب وهذا نفسه إلى كاتب في فرع الجمارك واضح. The documents will be processed and returned to you. الوثائق التي سيتم تجهيزها ، وعاد الى لك.4. Take these documents to the Wharf Authorities or Warehouse Keeper so that your goods can be located and placed in the Customs Examination area. اغتنم هذه الوثائق الى السلطات رصيف او امين المستودع الخاص بك بحيث يمكن ان تكون السلع الموجودة ووضعها في مجال الفحص الجمركى.
5. The Customs Officer may request that you open your packages for inspection. موظف الجمارك قد اطلب منكم ان افتح الحزم للتفتيش.
6. After inspection of the goods, you will be sent to the Customs Cashier to pay the necessary duties and fees. وبعد فحص البضائع ، فسوف يتم توجيه رسالة الى امين صندوق الجمارك لدفع الرسوم اللازمة والرسوم. I was open and honest and told them everything I shipped was my own used personal effects and they let me through pretty easily. كنت صريحا وأمينا وقال لهم كل ما كان لي ان بلدي شحن الامتعه الشخصيه والأدوات المستخدمة واسمحوا لي أنها جميلة من خلال بسهولة. Some Jamaican families shipped over lots of new commercial goods and they went over those guys much more thoroughly. بعض الاسر الجامايكيه شحن ما يزيد على الكثير من السلع التجارية الجديدة وذهبوا اكثر من الرجال بكثير تلك بقدر اكبر من الدقه. We now have a complete kitchen and cooking is much nicer for us now. لدينا الآن كامل والمطبخ والطبخ ألطف بكثير بالنسبة لنا الآن. I grind and brew fresh coffee every morning and I’m loving our new place that much more. انا جديدة طحن البن والمشروب كل صباح وانا محبة لدينا مكان جديد اكثر من ذلك بكثير.
