La st L'associazione andante in bicicletta della Fuori-Strada della Mary (SMORBA) è soddisfatta di annunciare che l'evento della bici della montagna più freddo sul pianeta è indietro! Il decimo annuale La Giamaica Il festival grasso del pneumatico è regolato per dal 5 al 10 febbraio nelle montagne lush e tropicali della st Mary. L'evento relativo a quest'anno caratterizzerà ancor più “dei vibes del irie„ che sono stati descritti nell'emissione del giugno 2007 dello scomparto di declino.
Il festival è regolato alla scossa fuori con un partito di registro e di benvenuto sulla sera del 5 febbraio alla locanda del corvo del John (il HQ di festival) situata nel cuore di Ocho Rios - il capitale dei vibes di La Giamaica' litorale del nord bello di s.
Il primo giorno completo del festival i riders si muoveranno fino alla collina del Murphy, perched su sopra Ocho Rios. Dopo avere contenuto la vista sarà tempo ha lasciato i freni surriscaldarsi sulla discesa di rigonfiamento alle cadute del fiume del Dunn renowned del mondo. Dopo il raggruppamento al corvo del John, la squadra dirige fuori alle Comunità amichevoli di Oracabessa, Hamilton Mtn e solleva il fiume con il criccio. Verificazione delle tracce dello SMORBA in st occidentale Mary è sicura preparare i riders per dopo-guida il rilassamento ed i festeggiamenti della sera alla barra “d'angolo„ cosciente a Rio Nuevo.
Il 7 febbraio vedrà i partecipanti entrare in profondità in rurale La Giamaica vicino alla baia del pettirosso, st Mary. These amazing, technical singletracks (including the famed Carlton Pass) are the trails that led Katrina Strand to proclaim “This is the best day of my life… and it isn’t even over yet!” This epic day will culminate with a complimentary meal and soiree at Robin’s Bay Beach Hotel.
On February 8th riders will trek to Pimento Hill in St Mary for a more relaxed day of singletrack, downhills, and waterfalls ending at Black Sand Beach where a meal of roast breadfruit and other local dishes will be prepared by local SMORBA dude, Natty Grant. In what has already become a favorite tradition of the JaFTF, local fishermen will shuttle riders from the beach to the pick up point by boat!
February 9th is a day for riders to relax and take in the fabulous surroundings of Ocho Rios. Shopping at Island Village, chilling at the beach or checking out Shaw Park Gardens, Ocho Rios has many entertaining options. SMORBA will also offer an optional afternoon excursion to White River Adventure Park in the nearby mountains.
February 10th is the day for Jamaicans to show off their own local riding skills. Dubbed “A celebration of Jamaican Bicycling Culture” the Jamaica Bicycle Bash is designed to provide a unique, fun-filled atmosphere centered around all things bicycle. Highlights will include a 5 mile race looping through Oracabessa, a “Gas Done” gas cylinder carrying race, a “Big Man, Small Bicycle” race and many other games and contests that are sure to provide great entertainment!
